Just before reading your essay on grass, I was admiring at least three species of grasses in what I call my studio meadow. It is a meadow during the summer when I stop my spring lawn mowing and before I begin to mow once again after all the beautiful wildflower (weeds) blooms have faded.
I did not know any of that - though familiar with many grasses and aware that growing grains brought a whole lot of health issues for humankind. Arthritis and inflammation in the body! Fabulous column, Margaret. And what a wonderful garden. Mine is not so great this year with heat turning lettuce and spinach and such to seed early. Great pea crop though!😊😄
